Deforestation
One of the biggest ecological problems in the world is deforestation. It is clearing world’s forests on a massive scale. In general, forests are not only home of peerless animals and plants, but they also protect us from global worming by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Pursuing this further, some of the advantages of forest are protecting the forest soil from drying, and they help perpetuate the water cycle. many things are took in consideration to be the cause of deforestation such as logging operations, money, a result of urban sprawl, and agriculture.
As a result, 16 million hectares of the forest disappear annually. Moreover, the World Resources Institute estimated that only 22 per cent of the world’s original forest cover remains intact. Similarly, a recent estimate that about 100,000 km² of the forest is deforested, and another 100,000km² are degraded each year. Furthermore, two of the major Consequences of deforestation are Climate change And Global warming. If this trend continues, In less than 100 years we could destroy what nature was developing for millions of years.
In my opinion the best solutions are, first to Manage forest resources by eliminating clear-cutting. Secondly, Cutting should be balanced by the planting of enough young trees to replace the older ones felled in any given forest.
